A Multi-Modal Approach to Address ADHD

A Non-Drug Emphasis

This book has shed a new light on ADHD for me. As an educator and a parent of a child with ADHD, this book has defined and explained many of the questions I had about ADHD. It is not a book that is written in medical terms; it is practical, easy to understand and offers great strategies for helping not only children, but adults with ADHD as well. This book would be extremely helpful for teachers who are struggling to meet the needs of students with ADHD. The book reveals how individuals with ADHD view common day-to-day activities such as on the job and at school. Reading it allows one to better understand how ADHD may impact an individual. Again, the best thing about the book is it offers strategies and alternatives other than medication for assisting individuals with ADHD. In addition to the useful information on ADHD, the author has impeccable skills and knowledge in this area that she brings into the book. The real-life examples provided offer a clear view of the challenges posed by individuals with ADHD, their parents, teachers and other family members. I am pleased and honored to have been asked to write a foreword for this book. The author should be congratulated for providing this valuable reference book for one of the most common diagnoses of school age children today. So, if you are looking for a book on ADHD that is practical and easily understood, look no further.
