About the Author

Osama Khatlan is a freelance author, painter, illustrator. He was born in Iraq. His careers began in 1977, working as an editorial cartoonist, and writing stories for children in his countryand in Arabic newspapers and magazines. He studied art in Italy and had some exhibitions in a few different countries. He also illustrated two books in New York. The Laughing Mirror is his first children’s book. He lives with his wife Marlene in Manhattan, New York since 1990.
