Sunrise Mountain is a Christian fiction about a teenage boy named Isaac who grows up in rural West Viginia. Isaac accepts the Lord in his mid-teens but is an only child in a very dysfunctional family who wants nothing to do with church or Jesus. Isaac is also bullied at school and criticized by a busy body elderly church member from his church. Isaac also battles anger, rage, unforgiveness, and fear, and has a very poor image of himself.
With all the negative in Isaac’s life, there is one place he goes to find peace and build upon his relationship with God. Isaac calls this place Sunrise Mountain. In the wee hours of the morning, Isaac walks the path leading to his favorite spot on the mountain where he can watch the sunrise and meet with God.
Isaac does have a good friend in an elderly man named Ben. Ben loves Jesus and tries to keep Isaac on the straight and narrow. There is also a girl. Being so shy, though, Isaac has great difficulty expressing his feelings about this girl whom he has had a crush on since middle school.
Come and walk with Isaac as he journeys his way toward a closer relationship with God and battles the strongholds in his life which he cannot seem to shake. You can also experience the beautiful scenery and wildlife that makes up the setting in rural West Virginia in the little town called Dry Valley.
