Moments is a collection of poems from a lifetime of poetry writing from Mary Elyn Bahlert, who grew up in a working class family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She fell in love with poetry as a young girl, and that love has grown, widened, and deepened over the decades. Her poems offer the glowing and playful spirit of Emily Dickenson and the beauty and sense of place of Mary Oliver.

Mary Elyn Bahlert grew up in a working class family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended public schools with dedicated, capable teachers, any of whom had immigrated from the Old World.
